MayPaw Dog Tie-Outs & Long Lines

Our tie-outs are long lines with a clip at both ends: one to the collar or harness, one to a tree, post, porch rail or stake. The 3/8-inch nylon is thick enough to trust and light enough that it doesn't drag a small dog down.

We weave reflective threads into the long lines so they show up on the lawn at dusk — easier for the dog to be found and harder for you to trip over. The 10-foot line doubles as a check cord for training in the yard.

Before you clip the tie-out

  • Clip to a harness where you can — never a slip lead or choke collar
  • Anchor to a mature tree, sunk post or solid rail
  • Walk the full radius and move anything the line could wrap around
  • Shade and water reachable from every point of the circle
  • Supervised time only — never overnight, never in the heat
